Principal Mechanical Engineer, Mining, Minerals & Metals
What you will bring
Technical and Industry Experience:
- 15 - 25 years of engineering experience in mechanical engineering.
- Leadership role supporting multiple small to mid-sized projects.
- Experience in Mining, Minerals and Metals industry necessary.
- Surface and U/G mining experience including shaft sinking, subsurface utilities preferred.
- Revamp and grassroots project experience.
- Preparation of specifications and contract documentation
- Has a strong background in discipline work and a competent understanding of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices.
- Skilled in estimating project costs and writing proposal content.
- Specific experience with material handling, ore sorting, concentrators, smelting and refining mechanical equipment.
- Experience working in project leadership.
- Specialized expertise in one or more areas of regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices.
- Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point and Teams. Can navigate intranet pages, conduct searches, and retrieve information.
- Working knowledge on 3D model navigating tool such as Navisworks is required.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
- University graduate in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of direct mechanical design and engineering experience.
- P.Eng. designation.
For candidates based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range on this role is: $104,321 to $209,277 CAD per year
