Training and Experience:
- Experience in the areas of coatings, insulation and non-metals.
- Experience in metallurgy and corrosion.
- Experience of oil & gas and chemical industry in the areas of metallurgy and corrosion.
- Job site or fabrication shop experience preferred.
- BS or MS in Materials or Metallurgy Engineering.
- Long standing Professional Society Membership and Continuing Education in Material Engineering.
- Large capital project experience.
- Extensive knowledgeable of relevant ASME, API, NACE, and MTI requirements
- Extensive knowledge of non-metallics to include coatings, insulation, fireproofing, refractory, plastics, and elastomers as they apply to refining, chemical and petrochemical environments.
- MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working understanding with available corrosion software.
- Experience in engineering and/or construction work process.
- Extensive experience with vessel and piping shops.
- Extensive experience as Lead Materials Engineer for large capital projects.
