What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, an extensive educational background in chemistry/chemical engineering, and the ability to cultivate a collaborative environment. Flexibility and adaptability are essential as projects evolve and new opportunities arise.
  • Proven track record of high-impact research, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributions to patents.
  • Demonstrated experience in chemical process development, scale-up, and optimization, with competencies in data science and statistical analysis.
  • Strong expertise in data science techniques, including data analysis, statistical modeling, and the use of software such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, necessary for effective teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience mentoring junior researchers or staff.

Preferred Attributes and Experience:

  • Familiarity with advanced process control technologies, modeling software and data science.
  • A results-oriented mentality with an emphasis on sustainability and commercialization of technology.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality assurance standards and relevant safety procedures.
  • Experience in integrating data science with experimental design to predict outcomes, and optimize processes.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: 
Required:

  • Ph.D.in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with substantial experience in leading research and development projects.
  • Additional certifications in leadership or management-related fields may be regarded favorably.
