Principal Engineer – Geotechnical Engineering (Marine)
You'll do/provide:
- Extensive professional level hands-on experience in a geotechnical (marine) engineering and multi-discipline environment, with demonstrated project leadership.
- Experience in foundation engineering for ports and shipyards structures, planning and writing scope of work for geotechnical and geophysical field investigations, interpretation of geotechnical reports and analyses,
- Master degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in project supervision, risk management, quality control, procurement, and construction execution.
- Trained in management and project execution with a proven track record of successfully directing and delivering complex engineering projects.
- Active licensure with a local engineering governing body where required by law, demonstrating a commitment to professional standards.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex proposals and reports to senior-level management.
- Ability to persuade and influence others, fostering a participative management style with a cooperative team approach.
- Strong understanding of cross-discipline work, interfaces, and sequencing, derived from a background in energy, chemicals, and resources.
- Well-versed in engineering governance, project execution, and fiscal management, ensuring alignment with Worley's commitment to sustainability.
Technical Competency and Quality Oversight:
- Deep knowledge of engineering technical competency and quality programs, coupled with oversight experience.
- Proven ability to ensure adherence to company processes, engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
Global Perspective:
- Global mindset with experience supporting global standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
- Familiarity with international engineering practices and standards to promote technical excellence.
Innovative Problem Solving:
- Track record of driving innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence.
- Experience working with Project Management Teams to proactively address issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, and project progression.
- Skilled in estimating project costs, writing compelling proposal content, and adept at budgeting and cost control.
- Operates with broad management authority, ensuring alignment with Worley's plans to derive sustainability-related projects.

- Hands-on management of all relevant company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to driving Safe and Sustainable engineering outcomes throughout the asset lifecycle (SEAL), embodying Worley's tagline, "Delivering Sustainable Change."
