Purpose: 

We have several open roles within our Power Networks team. This is a high impact direct role in a fast-growing team with several growth opportunities. You will get to work with large power utilities, IPPs, renewable energy developers and more. Our Power Networks team delivers engineering solutions across sectors such as Transmission, Substations, Battery storage, Power generation – Solar, offshore wind, onshore wind etc.  

You will be involved in engineering substation or transmission projects for voltages up to and including 765 kV for Worley and its Customers as an integral part of the Power Networks team. This includes new substations and switchyards, transmission lines, modifications, additions and upgrades to existing facilities, etc.

****Worley provides the flexibility to work out of any of our offices, remote or hybrid depending on your location**** 

What you will bring 

Technical and Industry Experience: 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in substation engineering, protection and control or transmission line engineering 
  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its Customers 
  • A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements 
  • Competent use of electrical engineering or protection and control, or transmission line specific software 
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite 
  • Substantial technical land practical experience in electrical engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams 
  • Experience in estimating project costs and writing proposal content 
  • Ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal and written communication skills that permit working efficiently alongside other senior substation engineers and designers in a team setting 

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: 

Required: 

  • 4 or 5 year Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering 

Preferred: 

  • Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States
