Responsibilities:

Piping Design & Engineering:
- Review and approve piping design documents, including P&IDs, isometrics, and layouts.
- Ensure that piping design complies with project specifications, codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, API).
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure that the piping design meets functional and operational requirements.

Construction Management:
- Oversee the installation and construction of piping systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with construction crews, subcontractors, and other disciplines (e.g., civil, mechanical, electrical) to resolve any issues related to the piping systems.
- Ensure that materials are properly sourced, inspected, and stored in accordance with project requirements.

Project Scheduling & Budgeting:
- Develop and maintain project schedules related to piping activities.
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed to ensure on-time completion of tasks.
- Manage the budget for piping-related materials, labor, and resources, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Lead and mentor a team of piping engineers, designers, and technicians.
- Coordinate and communicate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
- Conduct regular progress meetings to ensure tasks are on track and address any concerns or delays.

Quality Control & Safety:
- Implement and enforce safety standards and protocols during all piping construction activities.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
- Ensure that all piping systems are installed, tested, and commissioned according to safety and regulatory requirements.

Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:
- Identify and resolve any piping design or construction issues, including material, technical, or construction-related challenges.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members to address complex piping issues that may arise during construction.

Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all piping design, construction, and testing activities.
- Prepare regular progress reports for upper management, including issues encountered, project milestones, and corrective actions taken.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in piping engineering and construction in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience with piping design, fabrication, and installation processes.
- In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, ASTM, etc.).
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure construction environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in project management (PMP) or piping design (e.g., API, ASME).
- Experience with large-scale construction projects in the oil & gas, power, or chemical industries.
