Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on all aspects of pipeline engineering, design, construction, and operation for oil and gas projects.
- Project Support: Collaborate with project teams to develop and review pipeline designs, specifications, and installation procedures, ensuring alignment with client requirements and regulatory standards.
- Design Review: Lead the review and approval of pipeline design documents, including alignment sheets, hydraulic calculations, and stress analysis.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments, integrity management programs, and failure analyses related to pipeline systems to ensure safety and reliability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure pipeline designs and operations comply with relevant industry standards, local codes, and environmental regulations.
- Problem Solving: Provide expert troubleshooting for complex pipeline-related issues during the construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and provide training on best practices and technical aspects of pipeline engineering.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams regarding pipeline engineering matters.
- Documentation & Reporting: Oversee the preparation of detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate design, risk assessments, and technical analyses to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Petroleum Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Experience in pipeline engineering, specifically in a subject matter expert role.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in pipeline design softwares.
- In-depth knowledge of pipeline codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.).
- Strong understanding of pipeline construction, integrity management, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with project management processes and tools.
- Experience in pipeline integrity management and failure analysis.
