Nuclear and Radiation Safety Manager
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Radiation Protection is a must.
10+ years of experience in nuclear and radiation safety on large scale projects and management of multi-cultural teams.
Certification in Nuclear Safety, Radiation Protection, or Reactor Licensing is a plus. Deep understanding of IAEA, WANO, or national nuclear safety regulatory frameworks.
Background in nuclear safety assessments, licensing, and operational readiness reviews.
Direct involvement in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operational readiness reviews of a nuclear power plant.
Deep understanding of deterministic and probabilistic safety analysis and IAEA safety standards (SSR-2/1, SSR-2/2, GSR Part 4)
Reactor physics, core safety, and radiation monitoring.
ALARA implementation and dose management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in safety assessment and risk evaluation.
Ability to interpret complex safety-related test results and commissioning data.
Excellent communication skills for regulatory engagement, technical presentations, and coordination with stakeholders.
Leadership ability to promote a robust nuclear safety culture within the project and Client teams.
Prior involvement in IAEA Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR) or WANO Pre-Startup Peer Reviews.
Familiarity with digital tools for safety management and risk assessment.
