Material Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement site material management procedures in alignment with company and project requirements.
Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
Manage and control site material receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, and issuance processes.
Maintain accurate inventory records using the material management system (e.g., SmartPlant Materials, SAP, or equivalent).
Monitor material usage and consumption to identify potential shortages or overstock situations.
Coordinate logistics activities, including transportation, offloading, and internal distribution of materials.
Ensure all materials are stored in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and project specifications.
Oversee warehouse operations and ensure proper documentation for all incoming and outgoing materials.
Conduct periodic stock audits, reconcile discrepancies, and generate inventory reports.
Manage a team of storekeepers, material controllers, and logistics staff to ensure smooth site operations.
Interface with QA/QC teams for material inspections and certification verifications.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards during all material handling activities.
Support project close-out by managing surplus materials, returns, and final material reconciliation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experienced in material management within large-scale construction or EPC projects (preferably in oil & gas, mining, or infrastructure).
Strong knowledge of material handling, logistics, and warehouse management practices.
Proficiency in material management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, Ma’aden, or similar client standards is an advantage.
Strong understanding of HSE requirements related to material handling and storage.
