Material Controller - Piping (Ras Al-Khair Site)

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and construction teams to ensure all piping materials are delivered on time and according to specifications.
Monitor and control piping material inventory using Material process system and tools.
Maintain detailed records of received, stored, and issued materials, ensuring full traceability and proper documentation.
Conduct physical inspections of piping materials upon delivery to verify compliance with technical specifications, packing lists, and purchase orders.
Work closely with QA/QC for material inspection and acceptance.
Tag and label materials as per project requirements (e.g., heat numbers, material codes).
Coordinate with warehouse and site logistics teams to ensure efficient material handling and proper storage conditions.
Support construction teams by forecasting material needs based on upcoming work fronts and schedules.
Report discrepancies, shortages, damage, or non-conformances immediately and coordinate corrective actions.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on material status, shortages, consumption, and stock levels.
Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards during all material handling activities.
Qualifications:
Relevant educational qualification.
Relevant experience in material control, preferably in piping within large industrial construction projects (preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or mining).
In-depth knowledge of piping materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, HDPE, valves, fittings, etc.) and related specifications.
