Job Specific Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Procurement techniques, procedures, and policies.
  • Experience working within an Construction environment preferred

Industry Specific Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a construction materials planning role.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree (technical or business) or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

IT Skills:

  • Proven competency in the operation of key office software and productivity tools such as: MS Office suite of tools & SPM (Smart Plant Material)

People Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of personality types
  • Attention to detail and a focus on producing a quality product in a timely manner
  • Critical thinking and problem resolution skills
  • Able to negotiate effectively with vendors in a manner that benefits the company and preserves the vendor relationship.
