Job Purpose & Scope:

  1. Ensuring HSE goals, objectives and targets are met through personal leadership and involvement.
  2. Provides overall guidance from a HSE perspective to the Project to ensure that the Project HSE Management System is established and implemented into the overall Project execution strategy.
  3. Close monitoring of contractors to ensure that the Project HSE objectives are met.

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Champion the Project Safety culture, behaviors and engagement activities.
  2. Identifying, evaluating, and resolving HSE issues during all phases of the Project.
  3. Coordination with Construction engineers in different disciplines during the Construction phase for their tasks related to HSE activities.
  4. Ensuring that the Project HSE procedures are established, maintained and implemented by the contractors.
  5. Scheduling and conducting Project internal HSE audits on Contractors activities.
  6. Issuing Audit Reports, monitoring and administering the closure of actions.
  7. Review/Approve Project HSE plan and HSE Control Procedures.
  8. Ensure Contractor’s HSE personnel are appropriately qualified.
  9. Participating in reviewing the Project Execution Plan and ensuring that it addresses the applicable HSE requirements to fulfill the overall Project requirements.
  10. Ensure the auditing of HSE system of vendors and sub-vendors
  11. Highlight on a weekly basis and where necessary on daily basis, the Project HSE management system issues that need to be addressed by Project Management.
  12. Ensure the investigation of HSE incidents and communicate the findings accordingly.
  13. Provide regular feedback to Project management and key stakeholders, including lessons learned.
  14. Monitor the performance of Contractors and Subcontractors with respect to HSE.

       Requirements:

         

·         Minimum experience : 10 years in HSE management roles

·         Availability to work on a roster -14x14

·         high level of written and spoken English
