The Role
As a Construction Manager with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
Lead the Construction Management team to discharge the contractual responsibilities during construction phase of the project
Represent Worley in meetings with stakeholders
Direct and control the activities of the assigned staff/employees and their functions to comply with the project requirement
Ensure implementation of the HSE plan and lead incident free efforts
Implement the construction management processes and ensure compliance of quality standards
Review the various contractor’s programmes to accomplish the work, including the construction schedules, manpower and
equipment usageAdvise and assist Contractors in work methods
Ensure submission at the prescribed dates of the required reports (HSE, Quality and Progress)
Ensure timely resolution of issues during the construction phase and monitor corrective actions
Ensure compliance with company’s construction methods, procedures, and practices in all respects, particularly those relating to Quality Assurance, Safety, Personnel & Industrial Relations; where these are found to be inadequate immediately report the deficiencies and suggest solution
Own the company budget for delivering the construction phase of the project. Monitor the budges versus expenditure
statement periodically and ensure necessary actions to remain within the allocated budgetManage interface between various contractors/vendors
Maintain an inclusive environment within the CM team, guide and mentor the employees for their career growth
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
Job Specific Knowledge:
Experienced in driving HSE compliances
Sound and hands on experience on construction management processes
Sound knowledge and experience of construction quality management, planning and progress monitoring,
Knowledge of the construction methods and understanding of the processes, systems, and protocols applicable to Oil & Gas and Chemicals Sector.
Industry Specific Experience:
Graduate Engineers with minimum 20 years of experience and should have handled/successfully completed one project as
Construction Manager, leading the construction team at project site, in Oil & Gas or Chemicals Sector.
Experience of working as a Lead Engineer/Area Manager/Dy. RCM of EPCM Consultant (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management)/PMC (Project Management Consultant), in a project in Oil & Gas or Chemicals Sector, is a must.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Graduate in Engineering in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
HSE Capability: Knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities and experienced in driving HSE compliances
IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office
People Skills: Leadership skills, Team Player
Other: Adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity
