As a Manager – Accounting, you will be responsible for managing the accounting team and managing the cross-functional working relationships with other stakeholders such as Tax, Treasury, Operations to ensure timely and accurate submission of internal and external financial reports, and ensure corporate governance and compliance.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Manager – Accounting to join our team in Singapore.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and reviewing tasks done by the accounting team in the day to day operations and month end closing process.
  • Ensure compliance with Location Accounting Minimum Financial Controls.
  • Promote close working relationships with other stakeholders’ groups such as FP&A, Billings, Project Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Operations etc.
  • Prepare and ensure timely submission of monthly and quarterly management report and cash flow forecasting reports.
  • Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
  • Ensure Balance Sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed properly on monthly basis.
  • Review working capital requirements and arrange funding.
  • Prepare / review the quarterly / annual statutory filings and related queries.
  • Prepare / review the quarterly / annual tax-related filings and queries.
  • Liaise with external auditors, company secretary and tax agents.
  • Assist with the preparation of any ad-hoc reports / assignments as requested.

What you’ll have

  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards and corporate financial policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high degree of organizational skills.
  • Strong Leadership, staff supervision and mentoring skills.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications including intermediate/advanced Excel knowledge.
  • Degree qualification in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA or CA or ACCA qualification.
  • 10 to 15 years accounting experience in a multinational company.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting standards and tax rules in Singapore.
  • Experience with a large ERP environment such as Oracle, SAP.
  • Knowledge in BlackLine, PowerBI, OBIEE would be an advantage.
