Basic Function:

  • To monitor and approve engineering procedures, plans and schedules for execution of the engineering work scope associated with the Project.
  • Monitor, witness and approve (as required) Contractor Process Safety engineering/design activities for the works.

 Work performed:

  •  Actively participate in the Contractor’s HSE process of hazard identification, including risk analysis and mitigation.
  •  Ensure engineering schedules are consistent with Company overall Project requirements.
  •  Ensure /support the IPMT in the execution of the works
  •  Ensure that all tasks assigned by the IPMT Engineering Manager are completed on time and within budget
  •  Attend internal / external Project reviews and other meetings, as necessary
  •  Keep up to date with and adhere to Company and Project related procedures
  •  Be familiar with Company engineering/design requirements.
  •  Produce engineering/design inputs/reports as required.
  •  When required assist Contractors in their interface management.
  •  Ensure engineering works are performed to meet project schedules and that completed works are delivered safely and in a timely manner
  •  Coordinate all communications and meetings with the Contractors regarding engineering/design requirements as they may arise.
  •  Attend internal progress and engineering meetings as required with the Contractors.
  •  Actively participate in audits of the Contractor.
  •  Participate in continuous risk analysis of the engineering works.
  •  To review and approve engineering design activities performed by Contractor for all Instrumentation.
  •  To ensure uniformity and standardization compatibility at optimum levels in design and engineering in all phases of the project.
  •  To manage and audit the work of Contractor and ensure that quality and standards are maintained and costs effective solutions are adopted.
  •  To supervise and ensure the design works of Contractor are in accordance with the scope of work and project technical specifications.
  •  Reviews/approves drawings, specifications and other technical documents for all projects.
  •  To ensure that cost-effective solutions and application of value engineering are applied throughout the duration of Project.
  •  To render professional assistance to Project Management, and project Commercial Group.

 Independence of operation:

  • Reports to IPMT Engineering Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: Supervises:

  • Provide work direction to: EPC-Contractor
  • Liaise with:  Other IPMT Team, ETS discipline experts. 

Authorization: Financial and operational authorization according to Project procedures and delegation.                               

Work Environment: Milan

                                         

Work requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Chemical/Process engineering.
  • Project experience in Process Safety engineering in Hydrocarbon Industry.
