Junior Wetland and Vegetation Ecologist
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in wetland, botanical science, environmental resource management, or equivalent experience/education.
- Eligibility for registration (or active registration) with a professional association (e.g., P.Biol., P.Ag., R.T.Biol.) in Alberta is required. Designation or eligibility for designation as an Authenticating Professional for wetlands in Alberta is an asset.
- Foundational experience in vegetation and wetland ecology and plant identification.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Physical ability to work safely and be comfortable traversing uneven terrain.
- Must hold a valid Alberta driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Self-starter and flexible team player.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Excellent computer skills; and
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
