Junior/Intermediate Wildlife Biologist
Qualifications:
- Have already, or be eligible for professional biologist designation in Alberta.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in conducting sweeps, with a strong ability to identify wildlife features and species at risk in the Fort McMurray region;
- Reside locally to the Fort McMurray area or ability to relocate.
- A strong understanding of applicable legislation pertaining to wildlife in the region, including species at risk and setback requirements
- Excellent communication, organization and time management skills.
- Professional experience in industries such as pipelines, upstream/downstream oil and gas facilities, mining, infrastructure, and renewable energies within AB and BC, would be an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, management and leadership skills.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Self-starter and flexible team player.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to conduct site-based field work.
- Excellent computer skills.
