The Role
As an Instrumentation Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….
- Should understand the Instrumentation & Controls scope of work, project documentation, standards & guidelines before commencement of work.
- Exposure in instrumentation MMM projects, from basic engineering to detailed engineering and capable to support project execution, commissioning and handover.
- Experience to handle MMM proposal study and capable to prepare the query list, scope write-up and provide estimate by reviewing the RFP.
- Experience to deliver basic and detailed engineering deliverable for all instrumentation systems, including instrumentation specification, design documents and review design drawings.
- Preparation of Engineering Design Basis for Instruments and PCS, Review of P&ID, Instrument Index, I/O List, Cable/JB Block Diagram and all other deliverables for Basic & Detailed engineering.
- Preparation of Data Sheet & specification for Field Instruments and Control systems, Network Architecture, Cause & Effect diagrams, Logic diagrams.
- Prepare Material Requisitions (MR), TBE and Purchase Requisition (PR).
- Conceptualize/prepare/review wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, control room layout, installation details, hook-up diagrams and level sketch.
- Experience in Junction Box (JB) grouping, JB wiring, cable schedule, Bulk Material Take-Off (MTO), cable level segregation, and conduit and cable tray selection and sizing.
- Experience in package engineering and capable to review and approve vendor data to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Experience in reviewing 3D modelling using Navisworks or equivalent software and can guide & provide inputs to the designers.
- Should perform sizing calculation in InstruCalc, Conval or SPI sizing module for Flow Element, Valve, Thermowell.
- Capable of checking of deliverables as per project requirements and company standard.
- Hands-on experience in Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) for preparing instrument Index, data sheets, hook-up drawing, wiring diagram and loop drawings. Should have well versed in EDE and Query builder in SPI.
- Ensure effective communication among other engineering disciplines and manage changes effectively.
- Effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to both engineers and designers.
- Ensure all instrumentation and control systems comply with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- 5 - 15 yrs of experience in Instrumentation and control designing in Mining, Minerals & Metals (MMM) industry.
- A recognized bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficient in Smart Plant Instrumentation (version 2016 onwards) is a must.
- Proficient in using sizing softwares like InstruCalc, Conval or SPI sizing module.
- Proficient in reviewing 3D model using Navisworks.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ISA, ASME, IEC, UL, CE, NEC, and ATEX.
- Hands-on experience in AVEVA Instrumentation, COMOS
- Extensive experience in executing DRI, Battery Minerals and Ferrous, Non-ferrous Refinery projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
