Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and distributed control systems (DCS).
- Proven experience with industrial automation and control system integration, preferably within large-scale aluminum plants.
- Hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and controls systems in industrial environments.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations, including ISA, NEC, IEC, and OSHA guidelines.
- Experience managing and leading multidisciplinary teams on instrumentation and controls projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and provide expert guidance.
- Understanding of modern data-centric solutions and digital transformation initiatives, including IIoT and smart manufacturing technologies.
- Knowledge of process control, pneumatic systems, calibration techniques, and instrumentation maintenance practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the aluminum industry, with a focus on instrumentation and control systems in heavy industrial environments.
