Hydrogen Specialist 

Role Context: 

Worley are currently bidding for a well-recognized Danish green hydrogen project (EPCM), this project is set to start in the south of Denmark and EPCM is estimated to run for 4 years. This project is part of a large European strategy and is important in Denmark's efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and improve renewable energy. The project includes a greenfield large onshore pipeline and an existing methane pipeline. Please note this role is subject to project award on a contractual basis, which will commence in Q1 2026. For this project in particular we require individual that are already based in Denmark as no relocation assistance will be provided.

The Hydrogen Specialist will play a pivotal role in designing, analysing, and ensuring a safe hydrogen system. Key responsibilities include providing the team with expert knowledge and guidance during the execution of engineering tasks related to hydrogen, providing technical support during construction phases, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.

You'll be: 

·         Playing a pivotal role in designing, analyzing, and ensuring a safe hydrogen system.  

·         Providing the team with expert knowledge and guidance during the execution of engineering tasks related to hydrogen, providing technical support during construction phases, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. 

·         Conducting research and providing technical expertise 

 

You’ll have: 

·         Good collaboration with multi-discipline teams 

·         Effective Communication: Demonstrated ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders. 

·         Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in identifying, analysing, and resolving technical and operational issues in hydrogen technologies, utilizing innovative and practical solutions. 

·         Proven experience from similar previous projects 

·         Experience with material selection and testing of pipe material for hydrogen pipeline, including defining material  

·         specifications  

·         Deep knowledge of onshore design codes and regulations e.g. ASME B31.12 or similar hydrogen standard 

·         Experience with developing a Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) – ideally for hydrogen pipelines 

·         Experience with AUT inspection of grid welds. 

·         Proven track record of working on innovative projects. 

Desirable 

  • Master’s degree in relevant engineering discipline (or bachelor’s degree combined with substantial experience)
