What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience: 

  • 15+ years of direct Mechanical design and engineering experience.
  • Working experience in a variety of industrial projects in the field of HVAC and Fire Protection.
  • Working experience designing, developing different phases of Engineering Projects; from early stages up to Detailed Engineering.
  • Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its customers.
  • A sound knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.
  • A sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in HVAC and Fire Protection local and national regulatory requirements, codes and standards.
  • Deep knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, Canadian and Provincial building codes and regulations.
  • Experience with the application of HVAC and FP expertise within the nuclear industry is a plus.
  • Experience developing HVAC schematics, specifications, and detailed designs.
  • Experience developing FP P&ID’s, system hydraulics, FP philosophy etc…
  • Competent use of mechanical engineering specific software.
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Substantial technical and practical experience in mechanical engineering in the same or similar industry including experience in working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams. 

 

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada and willing to work in the Markham area.

Preferred:

  • P.Eng in Ontario.
