We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Project Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Technician to join our dynamic team at Worley. As a Project HSE Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and environmental compliance of our projects, while promoting a culture of health, safety, and sustainability. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of projects across various industries, ranging from energy and resources to infrastructure and beyond.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement comprehensive HSE plans, strategies, and procedures, aligning with industry standards and client requirements.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard identification, actively participating in safety meetings and discussions to ensure potential risks are recognized and mitigated.
- Monitor and enforce HSE policies, regulations, and guidelines on project sites, ensuring adherence to local, regional, and national regulations.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and reporting, striving to identify lessons learned and implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with HSE standards, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to enhance safety and environmental performance.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and deliver HSE training programs, workshops, and toolbox talks, fostering a culture of awareness and responsibility among project personnel.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and crisis management protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSE data, incidents, inspections, and audits, and compile reports for project stakeholders and regulatory bodies as required.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on HSE matters, acting as a resource for best practices and innovative solutions.
- Stay current with evolving HSE regulations, industry trends, and emerging technologies, and integrate new knowledge into project HSE strategies.

What you will bring
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the engineering, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex HSE concepts to various stakeholders.
- Proficient in using HSE software and tools for incident reporting, risk assessments, and data analysis.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential HSE issues.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
- A degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or relevant equivalents are highly desirable.
