HSE Manager

Role Context:

Worley are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to support the execution of project HSE management and associated supporting documents and  processes. Ensure H&S alignment with approved Plans, and client and regulatory standards. Building and maintaining solid relationships and engage with project representatives, client, contractor, and key stakeholders. Participate  in  project  start  up  work    (Contractor  mobilization).  Ensure  thorough  contractor  HSE assessments and conduct evaluations throughout the life of the project.  

You'll be:

  • Supporting the implementation of the project HSE management system, delivering the expected level of HSE performance.    
  • Supporting the Worley construction team in all aspects of HSE management.   
  • Monitoring contractor HSE performance.   
  • Engaging with workforce to identify safety concerns and work with the team to resolve.  
  • Executing assurance activities incl. Contractor risk assessment reviews, project procedure/document. 
  • reviewing and implementing of the project assurance plan (HSE).  
  • Where required, facilitating Incident investigations and assurance activities with regards any actions identified.  
  • Providing site/project HSE performance reports as per the project requirements, reporting to the Project/Construction Management Team and Project HSE Manager.  
  • Liaising with project Permit Issuer providing role support when required.  
  • Implementing HSE awareness campaigns in support of continuous hazard awareness

You'll have:

  • Ability to converse fluently in both German and English.
  • HSE Qualification (or equivalent such as an appropriate NEBOSH qualification - Diploma) 
  • Large project experience in a construction/heavy engineering environment.
  • Previous experience working in anHSE role. 
  • Experience in control of work systems (e.g. Permit to Work processes) 
  • Experience in supporting the establishment and deployment HSE systems in projects. 

It would be great if you also had:

  • ICAM, RCA or other industry recognized incident investigation technique  
  • Qualified auditor of safety and environmental management systems  
  • High risk heavy industry related experience.   
  • Proven track record of implementation of HSE systems and practices across complex work fronts.
  • Previous experience with Worley projects
