About You:

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess a combination of work experience, skills and or qualifications in the following areas:

  • Strong knowledge of terrestrial and/or marine biology, ecology, and habitats.
  • Experience in one or more of the following tools: MATLAB, Python, R, ArcGIS, MIKE, DELFT3D.
  • Experience working on projects in environmental impact assessment, environment planning, implementing environmental management plans or environmental due diligence.
  • Experience in conducting environmental or ecological/habitat field surveys for marine and/or terrestrial environments, operating hydrographic survey equipments, and marine permitting.
  • Ability to process and analyse collected data or survey results, and document in a professional report.
  • Experience in applying International and local environmental and social assessment standards to projects in the reclamation, infrastructure, chemical, and construction sectors.
  • Flexibility in working environment including harsh external environment in tropical weather (probable but not common).
  • Perform assignment deliverables on time and communicate progress regularly to assignment manager.
  • A proactive approach to project delivery.
  • Knowledge of local environmental legislation and acts, and internationally recognized standards will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated research and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail with good verbal, planning, analytical and writing skills, presentation and communication competencies are preferred.
  • A recognised diving certification and experienced in scientific diving are preferred.
  • Degree in Science, Marine Biology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management or related discipline.
