Graduate Accountant

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience: 

• Working knowledge of Subledger to General Ledger relationship
• General understanding of relevant local statutory/tax legislation, accounting standards, and internal and external compliance requirements
• Engineering, consulting and construction project experience.
• Balance sheet account reconciliation experience and month-end close experience
• Knowledge of Government Accounting

IT Skills:

• Microsoft Office Suite – General.
• Microsoft Excel – Advanced.
• ERP and Business Intelligence - Oracle and Hyperion experience.

Extent of Guidance or Control:

• Oversight by US Controller/US Accounting Manager.
• Incumbent will be expected to contribute to statutory reporting processes, compliance with Global Reporting standards, and system and process improvements.

Impact of Decisions on Results:

• Recommendations will have an impact on the ability for WP to comply with local statutory and tax regulations.

Position Significance Relative to Total Organisation:

• Contacts primarily within the finance function either at country locations, Group Reporting, Tax, Treasury or the Shared Services.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting

Preferred:

• CPA Eligible
• Working technical understanding of GAAP and IFRS; maintains the highest professional ethics and standards.
