Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a GIS strategy centered on ESRI tools to support engineering project delivery goals, particularly for onshore pipeline systems.

• Drive the adoption of ESRI’s advanced capabilities, such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, to enhance project workflows and data management.

• Advocate for the integration of GIS into business processes and educate stakeholders on its value in engineering and design.

• Lead GIS efforts for detailed engineering design projects, focusing on pipeline route optimization, alignment sheets, construction plans, and right-of-way analysis.

• Leverage ESRI tools to integrate GIS with design platforms like AutoCAD and MicroStation, ensuring accurate and consistent project deliverables.

• Perform spatial analyses and create high-quality maps, reports, and dashboards using ESRI solutions to support decision-making.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure spatial data complies with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

• Drive in kingdom adoption of Worley’s proprietary approach to linear infrastructure design and data management

• Serve as the primary interface between the organization, customers, and suppliers for GIS-related matters.

• Provide guidance to customers and suppliers on improving the quality and accuracy of their GIS/CAD data for engineering purposes.

• Present ESRI-based GIS solutions to stakeholders, demonstrating their impact on project success and decision-making.

• Build partnerships with customers and suppliers to improve data sharing, workflows, and quality of deliverables

• Manage geospatial data using ESRI tools, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry and project-specific standards.

• Establish and enforce robust data quality assurance and control processes for spatial data.

• Develop workflows that integrate GIS data from ESRI platforms with CAD and engineering systems seamlessly.

• Drive regional adoption of IOGP survey and data management standards in the region.

• Build and lead a high-performing GIS team, with a focus on ESRI platform proficiency.

• Provide technical training for staff, customers, and suppliers on ESRI tools and workflows specific to pipeline projects.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the GIS team

Qualifications
  • University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Typically, 15+ years relevant experience including supervisory, project management and/or technical experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in ESRI products, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and related extensions.
  • Strong understanding of integrating ESRI GIS data with design platforms such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Experience using ESRI tools for detailed pipeline design, construction planning, and spatial analysis
  • Ability to troubleshoot and develop tactical plans for implementing organizational goals and oversee the design of new concepts and ideas related to projects as well as functional area of expertise; Broad knowledge of functional area and ability to implement and lead organizational project change effectively; Solutions are derived from interpreted and applied general information and consultation with other individuals.
  • Works with self-initiated interaction with supervisor and self-initiated technical guidance. Influence over duties. Receives administrative direction based on organization policies and objectives. Work is reviewed to ensure conformity with policy and for coordination of other company departments.
  • Manages and directs work directly or through supervisors or professionals leading others. Makes decisions as to the selection, training, discipline and remuneration of staff. Assigns program work that involves several projects and sets policy framework for project work.
Certifications such as Esri Technical Certification or GISP are preferred.
