Geotechnical Engineer/EIT - Mining, Dams & Tailings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution plus appropriate continuing education in geotechnical engineering, or equivalent.
- A minimum of three years of related experience practicing geotechnical engineering.
- Mining experience including dam safety evaluations, dam engineering design and analysis, and dam stability would be a preferred.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or working towards registration.
- Experience with design software (e.g. GeoStudio (SLOPE/W, etc.), Rocscience, AllPile, and/or HEC-RAS, AutoCAD and ArcGIS software would be considered an asset
- A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong work ethic, produces accurate and credible deliverables, meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with input and review from supervisor;
- Bilingual capability (English / Portuguese) would be an advantage
