Geotechnical Engineer/EIT - Mining, Dams & Tailings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution plus appropriate continuing education in geotechnical engineering, or equivalent.
• A minimum of three years of related experience practicing geotechnical engineering.  
• Mining experience including dam safety evaluations, dam engineering design and analysis, and dam stability would be a preferred.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or working towards registration.
• Experience with design software (e.g. GeoStudio (SLOPE/W, etc.), Rocscience, AllPile, and/or HEC-RAS, AutoCAD and ArcGIS software would be considered an asset
• A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong work ethic, produces accurate and credible deliverables, meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and make decisions with input and review from supervisor;
• Bilingual capability (English / Portuguese) would be an advantage
