Competencies:

  • A qualified Finance / Business / Legal with a proven track record of success with more than 10 years of significant Legal Entity Rationalization experience.
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation and internal and external compliance requirements.
  • Ability to think outside the box and identify issues and solutions to those issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, with the ability to gain the confidence of senior management
  • A high degree of organisational skills
  • Excellent management skills including the ability to plan, set goals; and manage time, priorities, accountabilities, schedules and cost.
  • Negotiates successful outcomes that achieve the required objectives and have the support and acceptance of all parties.
  • Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effectively manages change to work tasks and the work environment, and assists others with adapting to change.
  • A person of integrity who is trusted by others and consistently honours their commitments.
  • Able to identify issues, problems and opportunities; make timely decisions; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance if required.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve on performance.

Required:

  • Experience with a large ERP.
  • Exposure to a contracting/engineering/construction or multi disciplinary services environment well regarded.
  • Experience working in multiple jurisdictions across Asia.

Guide:

  • Ability to work under broad or limited direction in setting work priorities
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant accounting standards and corporate directives.
  • Proficient use of the most common Microsoft applications including intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel to download and analyse data (pivot tables etc)
  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills with a high degree of analytical rigor
  • Superior general ledger reconciliation skills.

Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • A recognised  bachelors degree (or masters degree) or equivalent qualification with an emphasis in quantitative discipline such as finance, business and legal.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant discipline such as CA or CPA;  management or supervisory qualifications or equivalent.
