The Role
As a Financial Analyst with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc 

  • Reporting:
    • Deliver consistent, accurate & timely management information (financial & statistical) to all key stakeholders for decision making.
    • Ensure accurate PowerBI dashboard and financial analysis to improve understanding of actual and forecast performance, to drive future financial performance.
    • Involves budget and forecasting process for the corporate function covering overhead cost and recoveries.
    • Support FP&A team in coordinating, review and distribute Month End Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting via Financial Dashboard in PowerBI.
    • Continues effort in driving simplification and standardization of financial and management reporting using available tool.
  • Advisor:
    • Advise and support key stakeholders in relation to FP&A matters.
    • Advise and support system and process matters that may impact FP&A activities and the ability to report timely and accurately.
    • Advocate / Educate the Function Manager/Project Owner in particular financial matters, to identify areas to improve performance based on appropriate analysis being conducted
  • Governance:
    • Ensure appropriate accountability and performance standards are met and maintain high levels of confidentiality and sensitivity.
    • Ensure appropriate accounting treatment for cost and recoveries within the accounting policy and standard while working with the financial controllership team.
    • Maintain high quality of presentation, clarification, and accuracy with all information disseminated.
    • Ensure the necessary review and pressure testing of presented information for budgets, forecast, monthly and weekly information is conducted before issuing to the necessary stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Invest time to improve systems & FPA activities to focus on automating activities / process where possible.
    • Engage in financial reporting improvement    including but not limited to FP&A and Statutory reporting.
    • Translate business requirements into specifications to implement the required reports and dashboards, sourcing data from potentially multiple sources aiming at consistent reporting across all regions.
  • Metrics & KPIs:
    • Timely & Accurate FP&A deliverables, viz, Budget, Forecast, Month End Review.
    • Function Manager/Stakeholder/FP&A Manager Engagement/Satisfaction.
    • Process improvement, Focus on automation.

About You 
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Minimum, 5 years’ experience, with at least 3+ years in FP&A reporting and PowerBI dashboard development.
  • Experience in multi-location environment (similar industry/sector is advantageous).
  • Good Excel skills – the ability to implement complex formula and back tracing excel worksheet.
  • Understanding on PowerBI dashboard reporting and development including data structure, model and relationship is highly desirable (from data loading to dashboard reporting).
  • Experience with a large ERP environment such as Oracle, SAP or Hyperion.
  • Good business acumen, strong relationship building skills and a pragmatic nature.
  • Mature financial background and data analytics and good understanding of project and operation management.
  • Pro-active, Goal oriented and an ability to flex between a strong eye for the detail and recognizing the bigger picture.
  • Ability to work both under strict process flow and limited guidance when required.
  • Able to identify issues, problems and opportunities; make timely decisions; develop appropriate and innovative solutions; and ask for assistance if required.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups, and make presentations when required.
  • Demonstrates initiative to connect with different role in different geography location and time within the organization for the purpose of collaboration and problem solving.
  • Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity.
  • Deliver quality services and demonstrate a commitment to understand and meet customer needs from time to time.
