This is a remote/ rotational position, working in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose:

 

Our Project Coordinator job will provide you with the opportunity to work on large scale oil and gas projects on the Alaskan North Slope on a rotational basis. Each day you will be an important team member responsible for providing accounting and finance support in the form of financial reports, cost tracking, billing, project budgets, and invoicing, to name a few.

 

The position is located on the North Slope and requires a rotational work schedule (3 weeks on and 3 weeks off). Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided, however transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

 

 

 

Project Coordinator Responsibilities:

 

 

·       Daily retrieval, preparation, and distribution of external and internal client cost reports.

·       Represent Worley in cost reporting and invoicing related discussions with client representatives.

·       Review daily timecards for accuracy and make recommendations to enhance precision through time.

·       Provide cost-tracking direction to field personnel.

·       Review, approve and delegate vendor invoices.

·       Write and troubleshoot Microsoft Access queries, forms, and reports.

·       Write and troubleshoot Microsoft Excel formulas, VBA, and database linkage.

·       Assess data to ensure reporting logically ties to field activity and client pricing.

·       Reconcile and submit subcontract expenses for client payment.

·       Open new projects in corporate accounting system with proper budget, funding documentation & managerial approvals.

·       Create project-level tasks for internal cost tracking and billing.

·       Engage Worley Project Accountants to ensure timely and accurate cost tracking and invoicing.

·       Take direction from Worley field leadership, providing reports and information as needed.

·       Apply contract language for client and project scope of work.

·       Apply contract bill rates to internal and external cost reports and budgeting tools.

·       Review all client invoices to ensure accuracy and professional presentation.

·       Track and manage AR and WIP balances, following up on delayed WIP and overdue AR.

·       Assist in the development of reports which help the Operations Management Team make sound business decisions.

·       Assist in the preparation of financial information to measure performance against various budget scenarios.

·       Frequently engage in discussions surrounding the daily business activity of the operating division.

·       Participate in proposal preparation.

 

 

Physical Demands/Work Environment: 

 

Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to: 

 

·       Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

·       Must stand throughout evaluation.

·       Aerobic capacity evaluation via 3-minute step test.

·       Sit and reach and range of motion evaluations.

·       Lift 25 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.

·       Lift 25 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.

·       Carry 25 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.

Required Qualifications:

 

·       A complete understanding of fundamental project management methodology is required.

·       Minimum of four (4) to six (6) years project delivery experience required.

·       Three years or more of in-depth experience working as project coordinator or manager on various challenging projects.

·       Excellent proactive verbal and written communication skills.

·       Ability to meet or exceed the established metrics for the position.

·       Leadership qualities including self-motivation, resilience, positive attitude, and a team player.

·       Robust Microsoft Access skills required, specifically writing, and troubleshooting queries, forms, and reports.

·       Strong Microsoft Excel skillset including the ability to write complex formulas, VBA code and database links.

·       Valid driver’s license required and ability to be insured by Worley’s auto insurer.

·       High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

 

·       Bachelor’s degree in an applicable discipline preferred, or equivalent experience.

·       CAPM (Certified Associate Project Manager or PMP (Project Manager Professional) certifications.

·       Experience working with remote North Slope operations.
