As a Commissioning and Start up Manager, you will be responsible for defining the Operations Readiness activity plan to meet the client's Development Project goals and follow up execution.

To succeed in this role, you should have experience in Bachelor degree in Engineering or similar and minimum of 15 years experience in relevant field with 3 years in a lead role.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Commissioning and Start up Manager to join our team in Indonesia.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Specifying requirements in the tender package in terms of Project Commissioning Planning and Scheduling, commissioning procedures, and coordinating with Vendors in the installation and commissioning of the equipment, and also monitoring and following-up the maintenance and preservation of equipment as per the Project specifications and/or vendor recommendations and commissioning progress reports.
  • Reviewing the detailed engineering design, execution plan, and project execution process.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure that all construction processes are in accordance with the design and are conduct correctly also create a report and discuss findings that need to be coordinated and followed up.
  • Participate in the pre commissioning process, prestart commissioning, and the handover process.
  • Assist in preparing reports on commissioning and handover results.
  • Define the Operations Readiness activity plan to meet the client's Development Project goals and follow up execution.
  • Ensuring that Operations and Maintenance procedures are produced in accordance with the best practice in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring progress of Commissioning activities, reporting significant delays to Project Management and engaging external service providers directly to complete overdue tasks.
  • Liaise with Production Operations team to deliver all the existing facilities inputs required for the detail engineering. Communicate proactively with other team members.

What you’ll have

  • Degree educated or qualified in a related engineering field
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in relevant field with 3 years in a lead role.
  • Must have a good understanding of all applicable codes, standards and specifications, and must have excellent engineering, interpersonal, planning and scheduling skills.
  • Must also be familiar with safety management techniques and methods of reporting, such as, Safety Training Observation Programme (STOP).
  • Experience in Indonesian project or PMC Project is preferable.
