Building on our past. Ready for the future

Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.

Purpose of the Role
Worley is committed to delivering sustainable change across the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. The Earned Value Measurement (EVM) Lead plays a strategic role in driving project transparency, accountability, and performance improvement through the implementation and oversight of integrated EVM systems and practices. This role is critical in delivering real-time insights into cost, schedule, and progress data, enabling project teams and leadership to make proactive, informed decisions. As a key leader within the project controls function, the EVM Lead supports Worley’s sustainability objectives by enhancing the effectiveness and predictability of complex projects across their full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and integration of Earned Value Management practices across major, multi-discipline projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and internal governance.

  • Develop, manage, and maintain baseline performance measurement frameworks, including cost, schedule, and scope integration.

  • Establish performance metrics, thresholds, and reporting tools that align with project objectives, customer expectations, and sustainability goals.

  • Coordinate with project managers, cost controllers, planners/schedulers, and engineering teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of performance data.

  • Analyze earned value data to identify cost variances (CV), schedule variances (SV), cost performance indices (CPI), schedule performance indices (SPI), and estimate-at-completion (EAC) metrics.

  • Prepare and present timely, insightful reports, trend analysis, and forecasts to senior leadership and clients, providing recommendations for corrective or preventive actions.

  • Ensure that changes to project baselines are evaluated, documented, and reflected in EVM systems through a formal change control process.

  • Support field verification of progress data, ensuring physical progress aligns with reported earned value.

  • Train and mentor project control staff and stakeholders in the application of EVM principles, tools, and processes.

  • Participate in project audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the maturity of project performance management systems.

  • Collaborate with digital systems teams to optimize data integration, automation, and visualization of project controls and EVM analytics.

  • Promote a culture of performance integrity, transparency, and alignment with Worley’s long-term sustainability ambitions.

Qualifications / Skill Set

  • University degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related discipline; equivalent professional experience will be considered.

  • Deep knowledge and practical experience in Earned Value Management within complex engineering and construction environments.

  • Proficiency in industry-standard EVM tools and systems such as Primavera P6, Deltek Cobra, Ecosys, and integrated cost/schedule platforms.

  • Proven ability to interpret and communicate complex project performance data clearly to diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of cost control, project scheduling, and change management processes and how they integrate with EVM.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence project planning and decision-making through meaningful performance insights.

  • Experience leading functional teams and mentoring others in technical practices.

  • Ability to operate with a high degree of independence, while collaborating closely with cross-functional project teams.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparation and delivery of reports, dashboards, and presentations.

  • Familiarity with sustainability-related project reporting, metrics, and KPIs aligned to long-term asset value and environmental performance.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to ethical project delivery.
