As part of the Worley Community and under supervision and mentorship within the team, you will assist in the delivery of consulting services to Worley and our customers.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Work on complex site assessment and remediation projects as a contaminated land specialist, undertaking geological, hydrogeological and chemical data analysis and interpretation.
· Record and interpretation of ground and groundwater investigation data, preparation of work plans and technical reports.
· Development of conceptual site models and execution of Tier 1 and TIer 2 risk assessments, data gap and sensitivity analysis.
· Participate in discussions with clients and regulatory personnel.
· Preparation and review of technical reports. Ensure reports are prepared on schedule, on budget and at a high quality standard.
· Supervision and review of data analysis and reports executed by junior team members. Mentoring.
· Provide technical support, especially on contaminated land assessment, risk assessment, soil and groundwater remediation and monitoring.
· Support in project management tasks of medium and complex projects, including management of project resources and schedule, cost control and quality assurance.
· Support business development activities including the preparation of proposals.
· Bachelor´s degree required. Master of Science (geology, hydrogeology, environmental science).
LANGUAGES
· Spanish native.
· Proficient in spoken and written English.
EXPERIENCE
4-6 years of relevant experience.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
· Demonstrate a solid understanding of environmental contaminants, specifically petroleum hydrocarbons and hazardous substances).
· Demonstrate a solid understanding of fate and transport of environmental contaminants in the subsoil , exposure pathways and potential linkages to receptors.
· Experience and understanding on the EU Environmental Liability Directive, Spanish legislation on environmental liability, Spanish Law 7/2022, SpanishRD 9/2005, Spanish RD 665-2023, ASTM and USEPA standards on conceptual site models and risk assessment methodologies.
· Advanced Excel, Word, Powerpoint skills.
· Experience using GIS tools (QGIS and Surfer).
· Experience in risk assessment softwate (RBCA, RISC).

· Ability to present technical information, both written and spoken in a concise and professional manner.
· Time-management skills.
· Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
· Ability to learn new techniques, strong ability for multitasking, follow and give instructions.
· Ability to work independently.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated experienced consultant with strong technical and communications skills to work on complex site characterisation and remediation international projects. The responsibilities of this position include a variety of tasks related to the planning, design, management, assessment and execution of environmental investigations and remediation projects.
