Electrical Quantity Surveyor
Building on our past. Ready for the future
Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts. We partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.
We are looking for an Electrical Quantity Surveyor who is ready to make an impact on major projects and contribute to shaping a more sustainable future. In this role, you will spend most of your time in the field, validating installed quantities and ensuring accuracy across reporting, cost control, and progress measurement. If you thrive on being close to the work, enjoy balancing hands-on field validation with analytical reporting, and want to grow within a values-driven organization, this opportunity is designed for you.
Purpose of the role
As an Electrical Quantity Surveyor, you play an integral role in ensuring our projects are delivered with accuracy, accountability, and efficiency. You will be responsible for validating installed quantities—including structural steel, concrete, piping, earthwork, electrical bulks, and equipment—while supporting project controls, billing, and progress reporting. Your expertise ensures that what is reported truly reflects what is built, protecting the integrity of our projects and the trust of our customers.
Core Responsibilities
- Validate installed quantities of materials and commodities against progress claims.
- Maintain accurate, detailed logs of installed work for reporting, billing, and earned value measurement.
- Identify, investigate, and document variances between reported and actual quantities.
- Collaborate with field supervision and the project controls team to ensure precision in weekly quantity reporting.
- Promote and enforce safe field practices, ensuring compliance with company and site safety standards.
- Provide guidance on systems, processes, and tools related to field quantity surveying, supporting colleagues and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, preparing clear reports, presentations, and recommendations.

- Proven ability to work hands-on in the field while applying analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience in supervising or leading within your discipline is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly inform, persuade, and collaborate across teams.
- A strong understanding of field systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to coach and troubleshoot as needed.
