Key Responsibilities:

  • Measurement and Valuation

    • Measure and quantify all E&I works from drawings, specifications, and site information.

    • Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and material take-offs.

    • Carry out interim valuations and progress claims for subcontractors and clients.

    • Verify actual quantities installed on site against contract allowances.

  • Cost Control & Forecasting

    • Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses.

    • Assist in preparing monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete reports.

    • Identify cost trends and variances, providing early warning of potential overruns.

  • Contract Administration

    • Administer contracts for E&I subcontractors and suppliers, including variations, claims, and change orders.

    • Evaluate and negotiate contract variations in coordination with the project team.

    • Maintain records of correspondence, instructions, and site changes.

  • Procurement Support

    • Assist in procurement of E&I packages by preparing tender documents, scope clarifications, and cost comparisons.

    • Review supplier and subcontractor quotations for compliance and cost efficiency.

  • Reporting & Documentation

    • Prepare weekly and monthly commercial reports for management and client review.

    • Maintain up-to-date records of all E&I commercial and contractual matters.

    • Contribute to project close-out reports, final accounts, and lessons learned.

  • Compliance & Safety

    • Ensure all surveying activities comply with company policies, contract conditions, and HSE standards.

    • Support site teams in applying project controls aligned with corporate and client standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience in E&I quantity surveying, preferably within mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial construction projects.

  • Strong understanding of E&I systems, materials, and installation methods.

     

  • Proficient in cost management and estimating software.

  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a site-based, multi-disciplinary team environment.
