Director - Estimating
Qualifications / Skill Set:
- Education & Experience: A degree in a relevant field such as engineering, construction management, or finance, or equivalent experience. Significant experience in estimating for complex, large-scale projects, ideally with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of estimating software, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Visual Basic, along with an expert understanding of cost estimation methodologies for CAPEX and OPEX in the energy, chemicals, or resources industries.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Proven ability to make independent, long-range planning and technical decisions that support both project-specific and organizational objectives. Skilled at managing multiple complex projects and translating technical insights into actionable budgetary guidance.
- Collaborative Leadership: Participative management style with a demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional teamwork and to lead estimating initiatives that align with Worley’s sustainability goals.
- Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex proposals and reports to senior leadership and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Collaborative approach to managing client relationships and cross-functional partnerships.
- Systems & Process Development: Advanced understanding of the systems, processes, and tools used in project estimating. Ability to train others and contribute to the development of new systems that advance project accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
