The Role

As a Digital Solutions Consultant with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

  • As part of the Data Platform team, this role exists to ensure the organization’s data is accurate, consistent, and trusted. This role focuses on implementing operational data governance practices, maintaining metadata, and supporting compliance within day-to-day data operations. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, and governance teams to improve operational visibility and ensure data is reliable for reporting and decision-making.
  • Define and enforce data policies, standards, and stewardship responsibilities across operational datasets.
  • Maintain business glossaries, metadata repositories, and data dictionaries to ensure clarity and traceability.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand data usage and support data ownership and stewardship processes.
  • Work with IT and analytics teams to ensure governance is applied across data systems and reporting tools.
  • Implement and maintain operational data governance processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across business units.
  • Define and enforce data stewardship responsibilities for operational datasets, including ownership, accountability, and approval workflows.
  • Monitor day-to-day data operations to identify and resolve data inconsistencies or errors.
  • Maintain and manage metadata, business glossaries, and data dictionaries to improve traceability and transparency.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure governance policies are applied across data systems, reporting tools, and operational workflows.
  • Produce operational governance dashboards and metrics to track compliance, adoption, and data quality improvements.
  • Support initiatives to streamline operational data processes and embed governance as part of regular business operations.
     

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Technical Skillset:
    • Experience with ETL Processed and Data Migration Strategies
    • Knowledge of MDM principles and practices
    • Proficiency with tools like Redshift, SQL to analyze data
    • Ability to use data catalog tools to store and manage metadata
    • Strong understanding of data privacy regulations as well as data security and access control mechanisms.
    • Experience in developing data governance policies and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Proficiency in tools like Collibra and other data cataloging tools as well as cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
    • Experience with tools for data cleaning, monitoring and quality assurance.
  • Technical and Industry Experience: 
    • Independent Developer with over 8+ years of experience in developing and delivering integration projects in an agile or waterfall-based project environment.
    • Experience with operational data governance, stewardship, or data management initiatives.
    • Understanding of metadata management, data definitions, and lineage concepts.
    • Familiarity with data governance platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica EDC) is desirable but not mandatory.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to document processes, policies, and maintain clear metadata for operational use.
    • Experience in EPCM or project-based environments, managing structured and unstructured operational or project data.
    • Awareness of data quality principles and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 8000).
    • Comfortable supporting data governance councils or forums.
  • Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training (Required):
    • Degree in Computer Science and/or related fields
    • AWS Data Engineering certifications desirable
