Data Analyst I

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the Manager HSE Planning and Support. Interacts with Field HSE Specialists
and Officers, Quality Team, Security Team, Process Safety Team, Head Office Staff and
Environmental Team, QHSSE Vice President.
Interacts with the business and operations staff through the QC process and preparing incident
and hazard management reports, statistics and training.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creating data visualization tools, and user interface systems to facilitate data access, user
friendly data queries, and data system functionality to ensure reports and trends are completed
with the appropriate information, including recommendations and corrective actions.
Assist with the collection of data from the variety of internal sources, organize data, clean and
transform data into needed formats for further analysis. This involves using statistical methods
and software tools to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks.
Ensuring that processes comply with relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices
This involves auditing processes, documenting compliance, and recommending improvements
Analyze data and develop insightful dashboards, memos, and presentations summarizing the
data related to our global health and safety performance.
Develop a suite of dashboards that are interdependent, with synergies whilst remaining unique
and recognizable in their own subject matter area.
Conduct quality assurance of input data and calculations, troubleshoot inconsistencies in data or
calculations, and assist in completing internal validation.
Continuous improvement and action item tracking with feedback to operations and other
departments.
Administrator of Intelex reporting system.
Regulatory reporting, incident documentation and statistics, and corrective action tracking,
presentation building, design of templates, weekly and monthly reporting will be required.
Strong English language skills is a requirement, Arabic as a second business language will be an
advantage.
3-5 years of experience in a highly data analytical environment, e.g., financial or management
consulting, corporate analytics, or other roles requiring a blend of analytical and cross-functional
work.
Advanced experience working with MS, PowerBI and Python and H&S data applications or
similar is a requirement.
Previous experience in a QHSE data analysis role, HSE Related education and field experience will
be advantageous.
Strong analytical skills and an ability to synthesize information across a broad system to diagnose
problems and devise solutions
Comfortable with ambiguity; able to thrive with minimal oversight and process, while keeping
leadership informed on progress against deadlines
Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, possess an abundance of intellectual curiosity
and focus on generating results
Effective verbal, written and listening communication skills
Must be able to take on tasks from idea through completion
Understanding of complex matrix organizational structure, terminology and practices is a plus
