About the job

We are seeking a capable and experienced contract Pipeline Engineer to join us on a contract basis. The preferred location for this role is New Plymouth or Auckland, however, we can be flexible within New Zealand for the right candidate. You will be providing pipeline engineering services to Worley and our customers across New Zealand so therefore will need to be based in New Zealand due to customer requirements. In addition to a relevant engineering background, you’ll need to have initiative, be motivated, able to engage with others and work cohesively in a team environment to deliver results.

What you’ll do

  • Provide technical expertise and supervision of the development of pipeline studies, calculations, reports and other technical deliverables.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines on a variety of projects.

What you’ll bring

  • A recognised and relevant engineering degree.
  • Experience in materials selection and providing technical support to the design and fabrication process.
  • Writing and checking studies, calculations, reports and other technical deliverables  
  • Be skilled a planning and completing work within estimated schedules and budgets.
  • Previous New Zealand work experience and familiarity with NZ Pipeline regulations and compliance.
  • Industry knowledge and expertise with codes AS2885, ASME B31.4/B31.8
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
