Construction HSE Manager
Role Context:
Worley is currently seeking a Fields Project HSE Manager to work on projects that are executed under Worley Construction management. You will work in the Worley Netherlands HSE department that has both home office and field HSE staff and contractors, reporting to the Worley Netherlands HSE Manager. The Project HSE Manger will lead the project HSE organization, a mix of Worley and contractor HSE professionals and will support the Project Constructions Manager to manage risk to acceptable levels in line with the project HSE plan and Worley procedures.
Job requires most of the time to work from a project location.
You'll be:
Main Responsibilities (List of responsibilities)
- Lead the HSE team of the project site(s)
- Support the CM achieving the agreed HSE outcomes, within agreed project timeline and cost.
- Support project contractors with preparation for low-risk execution.
- Ensure proper implementation of the Worley Life program including Life conversations, Take5 and Life Saving Rules
- Ensure the quality of the contractor project HSE plans, Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
- Ensure effective hazard & incident management processes are implemented including immediate reporting of all safety events.
- Support the project management team, including HSE coaching & mentoring for effective safety leadership.
You'll have:
Preferred Experience (software, language, specific knowledge, or expertise)
- Candidate practices HSE from the heart, supports the end result by discussing and motivating lower risk alternatives.
- Demonstrate a pro-active and pragmatic mentality.
- Understands the importance of teamwork.
- Uses network to share and gain ways of solving risk related problems.
- Candidate can work independently
- Understanding the Engineering process.
- Sufficient computer skills to manage all project HSE requirements.
- Ideally arriving from an EPCM or Operations type environment
- Ability to deal with conflicting priorities in a busy environment.
Non-negotiables (Minimum criteria that are required for hire, used to shortlist applications)
- Education: HVK, first aid
- At least 10 years’ Experience in working with/leading contractors (construction projects).
- Excellent Dutch and English written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail
