PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Concrete Coatings Inspector at Worley, you will play a pivotal role in delivering sustainable, high-performance infrastructure by ensuring the integrity and durability of protective coating systems across complex industrial environments. Your expertise in inspection and quality assurance will directly support Worley’s purpose of delivering a more sustainable world. Through methodical evaluation, adherence to industry standards, and proactive collaboration, this role safeguards the performance of critical assets while contributing to long-term operational reliability and environmental responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform detailed inspections and assessments of concrete surface preparation and coatings application to ensure full compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and instruments to ensure precision and dependability during all phases of project execution.
  • Prepare clear and accurate inspection documentation, including test reports, non-conformance records, and corrective action logs, to support robust quality assurance systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineering leads, and contractors to proactively resolve quality concerns and support a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Enforce safety and housekeeping protocols on-site to maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments aligned with Worley’s health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Promote sustainability by verifying that all coatings and paint systems contribute to long-term asset protection and minimized environmental impact.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET

  • Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in industrial construction or maintenance environments, preferably within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors. A strong understanding of large-scale project operations and quality assurance processes is essential.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of surface preparation techniques, coatings technology, application methods, and inspection protocols aligned with international standards and customer specifications.
  • Certifications: Active certification as a NACE Coating Inspector Level III (or equivalent recognized credential), with verification of written and/or practical competencies.
  • Detail Orientation: High attention to detail with proven ability to identify deviations and non-conformances in coatings application, supported by accurate recordkeeping and report generation.
  • Physical Readiness: Capable of safely performing inspection duties in a variety of industrial conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and extended periods of physical activity.
  • Collaborative Communication: Effective communicator and team contributor with the ability to relay inspection findings constructively and work cooperatively across multidisciplinary project teams.
