Purpose:
As a member of Worley’s global Compliance team to promote, oversee and implement Worley’s compliance program to ensure that the location’s project operations and functions act adhering to and in compliance with Worley’s Values and Code of Conduct.
Responsibility:
Being a key point of contact for the compliance matters and provide guidance to leadership and personnel in Mexico.
Develop an annual plan of compliance activities with the location leadership. This should align with the regional compliance roadmap and the global compliance program.
Develop, coordinate and deliver compliance trainings and workshops in English and Spanish to Worley employees as well as third party contractors working on Worley projects to promote ethical conduct, compliance to standards and obligations, confidential reporting of ethical and compliance concerns, including regular topics to specific target groups and leadership.
Work closely with the location’s leadership and conduct risk assessment to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks related to corruption, bribery, modern slavery, conflict of interest, trade sanctions and other unethical conduct. Consider Mexican local laws requirements and cultural norms and values in developing local compliance procedures and policies when needed.
Ensure that due diligence is conducted on all third parties before entering contract, covering the risks evaluated from the Compliance perspective, corruption, bribery, money laundering, modern slavery, debarments, sanctions, among others.
Provide regular reports and updates to the Chief Compliance Officer and Location Director in Mexico.
Exclusive Requirements:
5-7 years of experience in ethics and compliance.
A self-starter, who can work both independently and as a member of the global team.
Should have a sense of responsibility and ownership.
Experience in corporate compliance.
Self-motivated with ability to communicate clearly at all levels as well as to form and foster collaborative relationships within the business, location and externally.
Strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities, establish objectives and milestones, estimate times and schedule activities.
Ability to provide an efficient and effective service within the Location whilst maintaining adherence to Compliance and Corporate standards and Values and play an advocacy role for those standards and Values.
Ability to co-ordinate overall training plans.
Time management.
Working knowledge of both Spanish and English and excellent writing and analytical skills in both languages.
Strong understanding of & adherence to Anti Bribery & Corruption laws, Worley’s Code of Conduct and Values.
Knowledge of legislation of FCPA and UK Bribery highly preferred.
