Competence Assessor 

Role Context:

You will join the Project Training & Competence Function which is responsible for the provision of group training and competence assurance on the Woodsmith Project, located in North Yorkshire, UK. The Project Training & Competence team is the core presence on the project Central Training Team and is responsible for compliance and improvement within the training and competence function. Your skills and expertise will be utilised to carry out assessment and verification activities, identifying and collecting required evidence in a valid, authentic and sufficient manner in order to assure promotion of safe work practices across the project.

You'll be:

 To carry out assessment and verification activities.

·       Identify and collect required evidence in a valid, authentic and sufficient manner.

·       Follow guidance issued by the Training and Competence team area with regards to assessment practice and completion of all assessment documentation and records.

Assess evidence of competence against project and legislative standards making sure assessment decisions are consistent and unbiased.

      Make competence decisions against required criteria.

·       Ensure assessed persons understand the purpose, requirements and process of assessment.

·       Provide feedback that affirms competence and identifies additional needs.

·       Complete all relevant documentation and records accordingly.

You'll have:

Essential:

        D32 / 33 / A1 / LD 9 assessor qualification (or equivalent)

        Experience of using all Microsoft applications and web-based data bases.

·       Significant experience in assessment / verification practices

·       Knowledge and understanding of work-scope planning process

 

Desirable:

·       Good understanding of multi discipline trades / work-scopes

·       Site experience.

Experience within the mining industry would be advantageous but not necessarily key to application
