Job Purpose:
The Civil Supervisor will oversee and manage the daily operations of civil construction projects on site. This includes ensuring the execution of civil engineering works according to project plans, specifications, and safety standards. The role is critical in maintaining the quality, efficiency, and safety of all activities related to site operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Site Management & Supervision:
- Supervise civil construction activities on-site, ensuring tasks are completed to high-quality standards and within the specified timeline.
- Coordinate and monitor the work of subcontractors, ensuring adherence to plans, schedules, and quality requirements.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and materials, enforcing safety regulations and industry standards.

Quality Control:
- Ensure the quality of civil works by conducting regular inspections and reviewing work progress and standards.
- Identify potential issues or discrepancies in work and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to quality control, inspections, and any site-related activities.

Safety Management:
- Promote and ensure a high standard of safety practices on-site, in line with Worley's procedures and local regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks, ensuring all workers are trained and comply with safety protocols.

Coordination & Reporting:
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate daily tasks and resolve any issues.
- Provide regular progress reports, including updates on work progress, resource usage, and any delays or problems encountered.
- Document daily site activities and ensure proper record-keeping for audit purposes.

Resource Management:
- Ensure effective use of labor, materials, and equipment on-site, ensuring productivity and minimizing wastage.
- Monitor resource allocation and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and meet project deadlines.

Problem Solving:
- Identify and address potential problems on-site related to construction activities, personnel, or resources.
- Proactively find solutions to minimize delays or complications and ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:
- A Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant construction or civil engineering certifications will be an advantage.

Experience:
- Experience in civil construction in a supervisory role.
- Experience working on infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, drainage) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and safety regulations.

Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction techniques, safety protocols, and quality control standards.
- Proficient in the use of construction management software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Certifications:
- Health and Safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are preferred.
- First Aid certification is a plus.
