Primary Objectives/ Responsibilities:
Technical Competency:
• Supports adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices.
• Supports the standardization of specifications, drawings, and document templates.
• Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements.
• Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence.
• Supports the processes for checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments.
• Prepares design specifications for Civil and Structural works.
• Prepare the production of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data.
• Ensures that the documentation for the design remains accurate.
Project Execution:
• Knows the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team in meeting.
• Supports management of project change and progress for the discipline.
• Plans discipline quality, monitors quality activities, squad checking.
• Provide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team.
• Coordinate review and approval of design and interfaces on client requirements.
• Conduct studies, analyses and recommend actions.
• Identifies opportunities to solve problems through applying engineering knowledge.
• Knows the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assists the team.

• Provide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team.

• Identifies professional risks, statutory responsibilities, and liabilities.
• Ensures that the supporting documentation required to implement the design.
• Prepares MTOs and BOQs.
• Prepares Scope of Work and technical specifications for civil and construction.
• Prepare scope of work for Surveying works.
• Prepares technical documentation for civil material requisition.
Project Deliverables:
• Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies.
• Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions.
• Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information.
• Perform discipline-specific engineering services such as:
a) Identify and report changes to project scope.
b) Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses.
c) Assist with the preparation of detailed designs.
d) Assist in procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Update existing calculations and drawings for foundations.
• Design and support designers to prepare civil drawings.

Job Specific Knowledge:

• Has an intermediate understanding of regulations, codes, and practices.
• Has a good understanding of onshore & offshore engineering practices.
• Experience in brownfields & asset services type projects/contracts.
• Effective technical and practical engineering skills, consistently deliver quality.
Qualification/ Experience:
Industry Specific Experience:
• Decent experience in Civil and Structural engineering in oil and gas onshore projects.
• Relevant years of engineering experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Good knowledge of discipline design/engineering with sufficient experience.
• Good knowledge of civil design on structures such as pipe rack, buildings.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
• Full-Time bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.

• Maintain HSE focus with the team to ensure OHSE requirements.

IT Skills:
• STAAD Pro (Connect edition), Mat3D, foundations 3D, AutoCAD and other.
