What you’ll do

We are looking for a Resident Technical Officer (Civil Engineer Level I) to join our team in Singapore.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance to all health and safety policies.
  • Ensure that Contractor and their subcontractors comply with LTA's PPE requirements and safety checklists are followed.
  • Report to SRE/RE of any incident including near-misses.
  • Supervise all construction activities and ensure compliance to all plans/drawings, method of statements/Risk Assessment and specifications.
  • Report any non-compliance to RE and QPS.
  • Reject poor quality and inform RE to raise non-conformance notice.
  • Assist RE to manage and maintain records of field changes.
  • Assist RE to monitor adherence to construction schedule.
  • Prepare daily/shift progress reports and any other reports, as per LTA requirements.
  • Verify contractor's daily manpower and resource log.
  • Report to RE of daily site activities and progress.
  • Attend daily toolbox meetings, PGIs, site construction workshops and any other meetings as requested by RE.
  • To assist RE in maintaining all documents and to update the site changes.
  • Immediately inform LTA on issuing stop work for any non-compliance on safety and quality related matters.
  • Standing supervision to be carried out for critical site activities based.

What you’ll have

  • The Resident Technical Officer (RTO) will have minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in projects similar in nature to the Works in the LTA's Civil Contract.
  • Have experience in supervision of installation of monitoring instruments, collation of monitoring data and use of software for presentation of monitoring data for analysis and interpretation.
  • Have experience in supervision of pipe roofing using micro tunnelling or underground mining.
  • Have experience in concrete technology, inspection, quality control and quality assurance procedures related to the production of high quality precast concrete products.
  • Min. Diploma in the Civil/Structural discipline or National Certificate in Construction Supervision (NCCS) or equivalent and shall be accredited by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS.
  • To be stationed full-time on site.
