Purpose:

We are looking for an Associate Project Engineer to join our Calgary office. The ideal candidate will have project engineering experience on gas processing or gas-to-power capital projects, for the oil & gas sector, on behalf of an engineering firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical review/direction.
  • Coordinate key projects reviews and evaluations, such as HAZOP/PHA's, facility siting studies, cost & schedule, etc.
  • Coordination of drawing reviews & 30/60/90 model reviews
  • Interface with operations personnel and subject matter experts to ensure project design objectives are met.
  • Work with engineering to create and validate detailed design, cost estimates and schedules.
  • Work with engineering to select and manage vendors for engineered and fabricated equipment.
  • Coordination of project standards integration and exception management
  • Review and analyze alternatives and options to deliver value through the project scope.

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Project engineering experience on gas processing & gas-to-power capital projects.
  • Previous EPC work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

Education:

  • A recognized and relevant engineering degree
