Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Supervision:
-
Lead and manage construction teams, including superintendents, engineers, and craft professionals.

Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement among all site personnel.

Serve as the primary point of contact for all contractors within the assigned area.

Project Planning & Execution:
-
Develop and implement detailed construction plans, schedules, and resource allocations.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and other project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Monitor and report on construction progress, addressing any deviations from the plan.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce adherence to all safety regulations and company policies.

Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.

Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.

Quality Assurance & Control:
-
Oversee the implementation of quality control procedures to meet project standards.

Review and approve contractor quality control plans and ensure proper documentation.

Cost & Schedule Management:

Manage construction budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Ensure construction activities are completed on schedule, mitigating any potential delays.

Stakeholder Communication:

Maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Experience in construction management within the mining or heavy industrial sectors.

Proven experience in managing large-scale mining and beneficiation projects, with a focus on safety and quality.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and coordinate multiple contractors.

In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, project controls, and contract management.

Familiarity with local labor laws and environmental regulations pertinent to the region.
