What the Talent Management Team Do

As a team, we design, deliver and implement programs that aim to attract, measure, develop and manage Worley’s talent.

 

Your Placement Year

This internship will provide you with an insight into how these initiatives are planned, coordinated, and supported.

 

Your duties as an intern will provide meaningful and hands on work experience and opportunity to learn. Summary of responsibilities below:

 

  • Learn about and then support in the administration and coordination of our learning initiatives.
  • Monitor our employees course completions and prompting/reminding employees where needed.
  • Ensuring course requests are correctly authorised. 
  • Monitoring statuses and liaising with the relevant stakeholders in case of issues.
  • Performing routine data input into training plans and calculating spend.
  • Responding to queries. Escalating more complex issues within the team where appropriate.

 

People analytics plays a key role in talent development.  This involves tracking progress and engagement, assessing effectiveness, and understanding the impact of talent initiatives.

As your skills and experience grow, there will be increased opportunity to get more involved in analytical work and projects, and presenting these actionable insights to People function leadership so we can continuously improve.

 

Technical Specifications

·      You will be in a student looking to participate in a year in industry placement as part of your degree course. Looking to return to university for your final year after the programme.

·      Experience (either at university, personal study or in-industry) with data analysis can be useful but is not essential.

·      Enjoy/have a passion for working in complex technical areas and numerical data

·      Our internship programmes are intended for those with minimal to no experience in their chosen field and for those are still studying at university. If you have more than 2+ years paid in-industry experience in this field and/or have already graduated, we would recommend applying for our other opportunities

·      If you feel you do not have any relevant experiences or meet the full criteria, we encourage you to still apply. When reviewing applications, we look at all experiences, whether that’s in-industry (paid work experience), at university (e.g. your course, society membership, events etc) or even in personal study (any experiences you have outside of university or paid employment)

 

This internship is available in either of the following locations:

Aberdeen

 

Please note, whilst there may be some degree of flexible working at the discretion of the manager during the course of the internship, this role will primarily be office based and require you to attend in-person.
