Qualifications
• Minimum 4+ years of verifiable experience in installation, maintenance, loop
check of industrial process instrumentation or certificate of completion of
instrument technology courses from a recognized college or trade school for
instrumentation with course duration of 1.5 years and 2+ years of verifiable
experience in installation, maintenance, or loop check of industrial process
instrumentation.
• NCEER Certified Plus (Preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret loop diagrams, Location Plans, data sheets,
electrical schematics, Single line drawings, P&ID’s, and mechanical drawings.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
• Proficient in computer systems and software programs utilized in the testing
equipment.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
• General knowledge of wireless process instrumentation and wireless
networks.
• General knowledge of motor control and protective relays.
• Understand motor schematics, wiring diagrams and SLDs.
• Ability to work with tubing and piping fittings and related tools on pneumatic
vacuum and pressure systems for leak check, repair or modification.
• Ability to work with conduit and conduit fittings along with related tools to
repair or modify existing installations.
• Ability to use and interpret results of a variety of test equipment used for
calibration and testing of industrial process instrumentation.
• Perform I/O and loop check on various instrument types and record results in
digital format using a tablet or computer.
• Ability to configure and verify configuration of instruments using HART,
network, and application interface tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read, interrupt and follow written procedures.
• Ability to use basic computer software such as MS Word and Excel.
